Contract or other Corporate disputes
No two disputes are the same, whether they involve contract, partnership, shareholder, professional negligence, intellectual property or other problems. With our experience of all of these, we can tailor a mediation to ensure it gives you every opportunity for a successful resolution. In summary our services are designed to be flexible enough to include:
- Pre-Mediation Meetings: for anyone who has not previously been in a mediation, to answer their questions and help them prepare for a successful mediation. You may find this document helpful Preparing for a Mediation Organisation in thinking about your preparation.
- All mediation arrangements: gaining agreement from both parties to the mediation, the mediators involved, the costs and the mediation date.
- Two mediators: one of whom could have specific experience of your sector. We do not charge extra for the second mediator.
- Agreement to Mediate - Corporate: this document details the arrangements and other details agreed with the parties such as the mediation's confidential nature.
- The Mediation: this is usually conducted on a single day, but can be extended beyond this with the agreement of all the parties and the mediators.
- Multi-party mediations: these can be arranged for any dispute involving more than two parties.
- Extended duration mediations: if several parties are involved or if the parties' availability is limited or in specialist situations (such as planning consultations) a mediation can be conducted over several days, weeks or months.
- Confirmed Value: If your dispute involves a claim or counter claim, then the Mediation Fees - Value Based document will give you more details on the potential benefits of this option, the likely fees and what is included. If your dispute doesn't involve an easily identifiable claim, or if it involves a number of different organisations, then the Mediation Fees - Time Based document will give you more details on the potential benefits of this option, the likely fees and what is included.
- Reassurance: You may also find some of the Case Histories relevant in deciding whether mediation may be appropriate.
What to do now.
Contact us and we will discuss the options with you in complete confidence and give you an idea of potential costs. We could also contact the other parties to see if they would be willing to mediate. Or, as we know many lawyers who regard mediation as a positive option, we could make an approach to them if this would help. You may also find them listed in this Solicitors List.
Either way a few minutes discussion about mediation could save you time and money.
