Exiting from a long relationship is never easy, but with understanding and reason it can be future focussed, practical and  not cost the earth.

The couple, mid to late 50's, once the children had flown the nest, realised they had little they liked aboiut each other and much they had come to despise. Trust was non-existent, bitterness deep with a desire to "recover the wasted years" and apparently little option but to do this by taking as much cash from the other as possible. Over several half day sessions, both singly and together, they began to understand what was important to each other and what their futures might hold. With sound financial advice from their accountants a "full and final" compromise agreement was drawn up together to provide practical and measureable actions that would give them some certainty for the future.
